TO INSTALL
                   ----------

1.) Unzip IC41S_GV.ZIP (or IC41S_GV_BETAx.ZIP where x is the beta
    version number) into the directory where you have Unzipped
    ICCLV100.ZIP (Goran Vlaski's Free Icom Clone Program).


                   BACKUP YOUR RADIO'S DATA
                   ------------------------

1.) Run ICCLV100 and select your com port in the Setup menu. Click
    the Download Button and save to a file called RADIO.BAK


                   TO USE
                   ------

1.) Open an MS-DOS prompt window and "cd" to the directory mentioned
    above.

2.) Type: EDIT FREQS.DAT to edit the user friendly frequency table.
    Press the INSERT key to put the Editor in replace mode.
    Always use 6 dashes ( ------ ) to disable a frequency and never
    use the decimal point or the MHz when you type a frequency.
    Eg. 450.000MHz should be entered as 450000

3.) Save file and Exit the Editor.

4.) Type IC41S_GV

5.) Run ICCLV100 and select your com port in the Setup menu. Choose
    Open in the File menu and select RADIO.DAT, then click the Upload
    Button. When uploading is complete turn your radio off and on.

6.) DONE.


                   NOTES
                   -----

1.) FREQS.NEW is a backup copy of FREQS.DAT with all frequencies
    disabled, just in case you destroy FREQS.DAT

2.) If the radio does not work after programming, use ICCLV100 to
    Upload RADIO.BAK to the radio. When uploading is complete turn
    your radio off and on.
